- SAME ORIGINAL WORDS: All the same words that Vergil wrote, with additions (clearly indicated) to facilitate reading.
- PRIMARY AND SECONDARY COLUMN ON EACH PAGE: Primary column containing the prose text, secondary column containing many notes to help with vocabulary, difficult grammatical constructions, etc.
- VOCABULARY NOTES ... ALSO IN LATIN: All notes (around 7,600) given in the secondary column are written in Latin, thus allowing the reader to remain immersed in the language itself.
